Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Feel free to reach out to us — we're happy to help.

Are your pieces truly one-of-a-kind?

Yes — every piece is handturned individually on a lathe using unique wood and resin combinations. Because natural wood grain and resin flow are never identical, no two pieces will ever look exactly alike. What you see in the photo is the exact piece you receive.

What types of wood do you use?

The artist works with a wide variety of domestic and specialty exotic woods including walnut, maple, cherry, olive, mesquite, and many others. The specific wood species is listed in each product description.

Is the resin food-safe?

Yes — we use only food-safe resin in all of our pieces. Once fully cured, the resin is completely non-toxic. That said, we recommend our bowls for decorative use and dry foods only (like fruit or bread). They are not designed for hot liquids, microwaves, or dishwashers.

How do I care for my piece?

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme heat, or water. For wood surfaces, you can occasionally apply a light coat of mineral oil or beeswax to maintain the finish. Never put pieces in the dishwasher.

Do you take custom orders?

Absolutely! The artist loves working with customers to create personalized pieces. Reach out through our Contact page with your ideas — preferred wood species, colors, size, and intended use — and we'll discuss what's possible.

How long does a custom order take?

Custom pieces typically take 2–4 weeks depending on complexity, wood availability, and current workload. The artist will give you an estimated timeline when you discuss your project.

How are orders shipped?

All pieces are carefully wrapped and cushioned to protect them during transit. Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days via USPS or UPS. Standard delivery within the US takes 5–10 business days. We currently ship within the United States only.

What if my piece arrives damaged?

We take great care in packaging, but accidents happen. If your piece arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage and packaging. We'll work with you to make it right — whether that means repairing, recreating, or replacing your piece.

What is your return/refund policy?

Because every piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind, we generally do not offer refunds. However, your satisfaction matters to us. If there's an issue with your order, please reach out and we'll do everything we can to resolve it. See our full Refund Policy for details.

Can I use real candles in the votive candle holders?

No — please use only battery-operated LED lights in our votive candle holders. Real flames produce heat that can damage the wood and resin. Battery-powered tea lights give a beautiful, warm glow without any risk to your piece.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe, our secure payment processor. Your payment information is never stored on our servers.
